    August attended the Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium in Koln, studied theology from Easter 1884 in Halle, Berlin, Tubingen, Bonn.
    In 1888-1890 he was Vicar in the Diakonissenanstalt in Duisburg, 1891-1894 assistant preacher in Dierdorf and Essen, in 1894-1906 parson in Velbert, Haiger, Wuppertal- Langerfeld, 1906-1929 pastor in Dillenburg, retired on October 1929 due to eye problems.

    August married Anna GREEFF on 21 Aug 1894. Anna (daughter of Ewald GREEFF and Anna OVENBECK) was born on 9 Jan 1868 in Porten; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
