    Notes:

    Traudi attended the sceondary girls school in Barmen, then during 1934/35 the horticultural schhool in Godesberg, served an apprenticeship in the private nursery of Hugo Stinnes in Mulheim on the Ruhr during 1935/36 and passed the examination for gardening assistant in Mulheim on the Ruhr early 1936.
    until early 1938 she worked in the biologically dynamic cultivated garden of the estate Korreshof by Mettmann.

    Notes:

    He passed his Abitur at the gymnasium in Barmen, studied law in Geneva, Leipzig and Bonn, became an articled clerk in 1908 and assessor in 1913.
    At first he was informationally involved with the Barmen Bank society in Dussel dorf, but then went away to war. He was trained in the Hussar Regiment no 9 in Strassburg and then served until the end of the war with Hussar Field Regiment no.9 since middle 1917 as officer.
    In1920 he became district court councillor in Elberfeld.
    For the first years of marriage they lived in Dusseldorf, then in Hammerstein by Vohwinkel, and in 1916 Mrs Greeff moved to Barmen, which remained their residence (amToelleturm) until 1930. Next to it was a small farmhouse on the grounds of Haus Dussel as summer residence. In 1930 the house in Barmen was sold, the farmhouse enlarged and since then the family lived in Kamp by Dussel on an area of 10 morgen which was subdivided from the manor.

    Notes:

    Rudolf attended the secondary school in Barmen until 1859, then went to the firm "Fontaine & Meyerhoff: in Brussels for commercial training and further education in the French language. He returned early in 1861 and joined his fathers firm " J.P.Greeff, G.W. Sohn" where he became a partner on 1 May 1866. Rudolf was a member of the Board of the Society for the beautification of Barmen Building
    Society fo Labourers houses and its Chairman 1900-1903. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce 1891-1903 and member of the Royal Trade Court 1880-1890.
    He was also member of the management of the Civic Savings Bank, member of the management of the Loans House, and member of the board of the Society for Arts. In the Reformed congregation of Gemarke he was a member of the Representation and Scholarch (Presbyter concerned with schooling.) 1898-1902.
    He devoted himself specially to the maintenance and improvement of his property Haus Dussel, leased by his son Werner, for as long as the manor remained a family asset.

    Carl was the owner of the firm "J. P. Greeff, G. W. Sohn" in Barmen, Royal Trade Councillor and Knight of the Order of the Red Eagle.

    In 1845 and 1855 he was elected Churchmaster of the Reformed parish Gemarke. In 1833 he joined the Concordia Company and became its director in 1859/60

    Carl Greeff lived in the old Bergische house at the corner of Clever and Bollwerk streets, in the picture "Clever Bollwerk" at a. He built a new house in the garden of this house in 1883 at b., where his son Rudolf later lived.
    First his son-in-law Cramer and then his daughter Pauline moved into the old house.
    The houses remained connected through the garden. On the other side of the river Wupper lay his factory.
