  Theodor passed his commercial training with the Barmen Bank society, of which his father was the first director, made long journeys abroad, returned to the Barmen Bank society in 1889, became an attorney in 1887, in 1889 director (personally liable partner) Later he retired to his country estate in Unter-Grainau am Wetterstein. He was Royal Trade Councillor, cavalry captain in the Landwehr, holder of the Iron Cross and the Turkish Half-Moon.
