Kalden, 22.1.1702, sy doopgetuie was hoof chirurgyn Willem ten Damme en sy vrou Helena Gulix, wat op die plaas Goed-en-Quaed[Boshof] boer. Nicolaas het ten tye van sy huwelik op sy oudste broer Johannes se plase gewerk, x Stellenbosch, 17.12.1724, met [b3;- ] Anna Maria Conterman, = 24.2.1704, d.v. Hans Jacob Contermann[Gundermann], * Hadamar, Duitsland, c. 1656, a. c. 1696 as soldaat, burger 1698, smid en boer van die plaas Vryburg, Bottelary, asook 'n plaas in Jonkershoek, Stellenbosch, hy het 'n wynkontrak in Stellenbosch en Drakenstein, is heemraad van Stellenbosch, ? 11.8.1734, x 26.9.1700, met Anna Catharina Cleef en Hans xx 19.5.1720, met Maria Beyers, d.v.
