• Notes

  Marietjie met Steve at a Church conference in Johannesburg in 1949. They met again at a later stage in Tzaneen, where Steve told Marietjie that his previous girl friend refused to serve the Lord and that he could not continue his relationship with her for that reason. From then on their relationship flourished and they were married six months later. After raising her four children, she did administrative work for various estate agents. She later started the agency for the United Building Society at ESKOM, wher she worked for more than 10 years until her retirement in 1989. After their retirement they both served the Lord in ministry and traveled the world.
