Ek het gewag om te sien of iemand you meer inligting kon gee oor Johanna Terrier, en het toe besluit om die vollgende te stuur. Jammer dit is in Engels geskryf maar dit is hoe dit op my data-basis ingeskryf is: Danie Terrier from the region Blésois reached the Cape aboard the shipde Schelde' in 1688, he was amongst several refugees who made theiramends before the Delft congregation on October 19, 1687 for havingaccepted Catholicism in France as a means of escaping persecution. He married about 1690 Sara Jacob d.o. Pierre Jacob (FF) & Susanne de Vos, they had four children, he died before 1700 as this was about the time that Sara Jacob remarried Jean du Buis. The names of their children as follows;b1) Johanna, born abt 1692 died July 1779, marr1: Jean Cordier; marr2:
Pieter Pienaar
b2) Maria, bap Drakenstein 26.6.1665
b3) Susanne, bap Drakenstein 10.1.1697, marr: Jasper Raats
b4) Pierre, bap Drakenstein 4.10.1699

NOTE: de Villiers and P. Coertzen show that he had 3 daughters and a son, Graham Botha (p.72) mentions that only three children were baptised at Drakenstein.
