b2Willem, gedoop 28 Mei 1696 in die Paarl en oorlede circa 1731.

Hy vestig hom op Houd Constant, "over de vier en twintig rivieren", net buite die huidige Porterville. Trek later oor die berg en vestig hom op Misgund, vandag Platkloof, "over de Oliphant's rivier". 'n Leningsplaas is op 19 Augustus 1726 aan hom toegesê, dus is Misgund die oudste plaas in die bo-Olifantsrivier.

Willem is getroud met Elsje VAN DER MERWE {c1} dogter van Schalk Willemsz VAN DER MERWE {b2} and Anne PREVOT, in 1716. Elsje is gebore 17 Aug 1697 in Drakenstein, gedoop 25 Aug 1697 in Drakenstein, en oorlede circa 1757.

He married Elsie van der Merwe and they had five children.
One of Willem's descendants was Thomas Francois Burgers, 1834-1881 (the first one to add the "s", changing Burger to Burgers) - he was President of the Transvaal Republic from 1872 to 1879.
