  Arrived in 1688 aboard the Berg China. It left Goeree, Rotterdamon 20 March 1688 and arrived in Table Bay on 4 August 1688 - 19 passengers died and 50 became ill. Brother of Jean Jourdan. Heese gives no date of marriage with either wife. All children except the youngest (Marie) are attached to the first wife (Anna). Pierre, the brother of Jeane, was later the owner of the farm "Cabriere". He married Anna Fouche, who died in 1713 and remarried Maria Verdeau, daughter of Hercule Verdeau and they had 6 children. BIOGRAPHY: Pierre JOURDAN,was a French Huguenot who arrived in South Africa as a 24 year old on the ship "Berg China". He lived on the farm Cabriere in the district of Franschoek and at his death left behind 6 children born from his first marriage.
