• Notes

  In 1705 Marthinus signed a document renouncing his maternal inheritance, which until then had remained in his father's possession, and Marten and Catherina declared in their will that he, Marthinus, had provided so many services and benefits to their family that he was to receive from their eventual estate an equal share with their other children.
