• Notes

  Rudolf was the progenitor (stamvader) of the Pasman family in South Africa. He arrived in the Cape from Mörs, Germany in 1684. Rudolf was found guilty of illegal trading on 30 Jun 1681. He served as a deacon in 1694 and 1695. His farm, "Rustenburg", was located on the Stellenbosch side of Simonsberg. He was allocated the farm in 1680, but it was only awarded in 1699 to his widow's second husband. Only in 1742 was it transferred from Sophia's estate to their grandson, Pieter Loubser.
