  Dr Med New York Heinrich went to America in 1893 as representitive of his father's firm. The latter firm founded an own branch under the firm "Susquehannah Silk Mills"in New York. In 1903 a dyeing plant and waterproofing plant were built at Sunbury on the Susquehannah River, to which a printing plant was added later. The control of these enterprises was taken over by Heinrich as president of the company. After his marriage they lived first in a house on 45 West street and after the birth of his youngest children Twins he built a new house on 8 East street. Until 1913 th summers were spent in Greenwich (Conn.), but in Dec 1915 he acquired a property in Glen Cove (Long Island) where he afterwards took up his summer residence. Since 1915 he held offices of elder and treasurer of the fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church several times.
