  Removed the Birth date of 1806, Coln for the date in the Huckenbach book( translated into english by Greeff Francois and Viljoen) Until his marriage Robert lived in Barmen and then moved to Koln where he and his brother Richad jointly started the firm dealing in Barmen trimming and edging articles. Later the couple moved to Frankfurt am Main, where he made contact with his relative Ernst Greeff-Bettelhauser and the opera singer Paul Greeff. Laura Greeff was very interested in Language and literature. She was fond of recounting that in her youth she had attended the session of the German National Assembly in the Church of st. Paul. After the death of her husband she moved to Weimar with the family of her son Edward.
