    In 1888-1890 he was Vicar in the Diakonissenanstalt in Duisburg, 1891-1894 assistant preacher in Dierdorf and Essen, in 1894-1906 parson in Velbert, Haiger, Wuppertal- Langerfeld, 1906-1929 pastor in Dillenburg, retired on October 1929 due to eye problems.
