Hendrik Adriaan (Henno) Greeff

When the mechanical engineering final year class of 2008 group photo was taken, Henno and his three cronies wore moustaches. After the event there were complaints to the effect that the appendages defaced the photo. This led to a farcical informal hearing attended by a minority of mostly junior lecturers and boycotted by the rest. The four students agreed to have the photo touched up by the removal of the moustaches. They subsequently obtained prints of the original photo. Henno again wore his moustache during the awards ceremony, to the delight of the crowd, the lecturers and fellow students alike.
