Dear Francois,
Here are some pics of my grandmother Margaretha Alberta Durandt, daughter of Susanna Maria GREEFF b 1845 and Jan Jonathan Durandt. She was born in 1885 in Somerset East, died 1956 Johannesburg.
no 1382: Her passport when she went to visit my Mom Patricia Blanche DEAN in the CONGO for my birth in 1946 , 2nd April.
no 1383: My gran, Margaretha Alberta, first on left at her sister''s marriage, the other woman on the right is another sister.
no 1384: My Ouma's 4th sister Helen Durandt and her brother Pieter Willem Durandt b 1867. He was on St Helena during ABW.
no 1385: My Mom's elder brothers and sisters and aunts at the seaside ( Mom had 5 siblings, all deceased)
no 1386: My Mom''s eldest sister Susanna b1910 on a horse in what is actually PERCY FYFE RESERVE in Transvaal Petersburg. Her aunt was Maria Cornelia Durandt married to Percy Fyfe, they had this big farm.
no 1387: My Ouma Margaretha first on the left with sisters : Susanna and Maria Cornelia and Dorothea.

My grandmother's first name comes from her mother's ( Susanna Maria GREEFF b 1845 ) stepmother : Margaretha Alberta Van Rooyen 2nd wife of Mattheus Johannes Greeff from whom descend Fred and Viljoen Greeff ( KOMMADAGGA/IRENE ). The first wife of Mattheus was Maria Cornelia NEL she died ca 1853.
