  Death Notice: MOOC 6-9-163 No 5278. The handwriting for the date of death appears to be 1848, but is in fact 1878, when the document was processed. A second mistake that arose from the handwriting on the death notice was the name of the mother of the deceased, which I read as Dorothea Cornelia S Greeff. It is, on closer examination, in fact, Dorothea Cornelia L Greeff.
