I have a query that you could help me with. My grandmother was Johanna Aletta Gouws. She was the daughter of Jan Andries Gouws and Gerruida DE BRUIJN / BRUYN.She died at the age of 38 years at their house (opsigters huis Ferndale)Spoorweg huis no 364 op die plaas Holfontein, Bloemhof district. Her first husband Christoffel Jacob Martinus GREEFF who died at the end of the battle in the Bothaville district 1900 He is mentioned under the Anglo War on your website. I require dates of marriage , if any children were born and there dates, any thing to find the needle in the hay stack After the death of Christoffel Jacob Martinus GREEFF my grandfather Willem Matthys DE BEER married Johanna Aletta (Gouws) GREEFF . 3 children were born from this marriage. A set of twins (girls) and a son Willem Mattyhs who was my father.I don't have any information regarding my grandfather eg: date of birth , bate of marriage, date of death and were buried. After the death of his first wife he re married, there is no name , no dates but a daughter was born, I new her as Susan who married a Linton / Linden and they had a son that later years immigrated to Canada joining the air force.
